2+2=?

Not as easy as four for me. It has taken me a while to put them together. Or not. After all global warming was not a big issue, (at least not to me), in the mid 70's. What I was hearing and being alarmed by was drought.
Crops always seemed to be as they are today, drying up. Rivers and lakes were drying up. Deserts were and still are inhabitable to human life. Shortages of water were in the news every day and are still reported today. People are dying of thirst! This goes on every where not just in America. Isn't Africa mostly desert? In some countries there isn't enough water to grow crops to sustain the population. Yet they keep breeding. But I digress. I saw on some nature show that there is a desert which is so dry...How dry is it? There is a desert that is so dry that the annual rain deluge I understood to last for days and rain enough water to make Seattle look dry would dry up as quickly as the rain stopped. The desert was so dry that all the rain water would sink into the ground and evaporate without leaving as much as a puddle. This is the first part of the equation. This is 2.
The next addend. The other two is global warming. Hear the foreboding reverberation in the voice when it warns of GLOBAL WARMING! It is real folks!? So I heard. I heard it is getting so hot that the Antarctic is melting. Huge gigantic chunks of ice the size of the island of Manhattan are breaking away from the Antarctic and melting into the sea. Could it be a problem to have giant chunks of ice the size of the island of Manhattan falling into the ocean? I don't know if all that fresh water ice would desalinate our oceans when it melts in them. That is not an issue to the Global Warmingists though. What the Global Warmingists are concerned with is the effect the melting ice will have one the ocean depth.
The melting ice could cause the ocean depth to increase by 100 feet. At least! This ocean rise would flood the island Manhattan. It would flood Americas coastline. I feel bad for the rich folk living on the beaches. I feel bad for them. Somewhere. Somewhere way deep down. So far down I can hardly see it. But I know its there. I am after all, Christian.
The solution. 4 has been proposed. Yes I am behind in math. The solution is ice harvesting. Use some big ships, cranes and explosives to blast away huge chunks of ice, retrieve them with cranes and put them on the ships. Than ship them to the Serengeti, Texas, Arizona and other parched areas on our planet. Harvesting the ice would prevent ocean rise and the millionaires will not have to leave their beach side mansions and come to my neighborhood. 2. People in Africa would be able to farm and continue to over populate their country. +2.  And that would create jobs =4.
