CS6 Installer halts when installing Adobe Help
CS6 Installer halts when installing Adobe Help
CS6 Creative Suite Design & Web Premium Trial downloads, extracts, but the installer halts when it hits "Currently Installing Adobe Help", and the install time keeps increasing indefinitely. I have tried over and over, re-downloading, using the direct download links, running the creative suite cleaner, the Adobe Support tool, restarting my computer, etc. etc. etc. It does this same thing when I have tried to install Dreamweaver CS6 on its own, but I was able to download & install Lightroom 4 with no problems whatsoever. What can I do at this point?

Did the Adobe Support Advisor identify the source of your difficulties? You can also follow the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html to manually review your installation logs.

(as is usually the case with the big software companies)
is not relevant to fixing the problem for the poor unfortunate souls who do not know why the fuck this is happening and are looking to the big mega millions software company to actually have a competent solution to the problem.
A competent solution to the problem:
-Go to task manager-Processes tab
-find install help adobe exe and kill the bch,
User:
Solved.
I was getting this with Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Student / Teacher edition. I ran taskmanager, killed Adobe Help Install exe and it finished.

User Comment:
Adobe, you should fix this problem, I have a CS6 Master Collection, it's a $1400 program! But you don't want consumers to install it?!
$1,400 U.S. Dollars to purchase, shitty "help" And That is The Brutal Truth.
