The big picture.

          Can you see whats going on? Can you see in front of you? What do you see in the mirror? Do you get the big picture? Can you see your eyes? Now look at your mouth. Do you see it? Do you see your feet? No you don't. You do not get the big picture. Picture your car. What color is it? Do you see the engine? No, you don't! You see a section of the paint on the car. When I bring your attention to it, in a moment you may see what you construe as the engine. Or imagine as the engine. Digression. Spoiler alert: Most of you do not know what the inside of an engine looks like.
          Get it yet? I'm still working on it. The big picture that is. I try to see where we are going. It's like the Forest and tree example. I can't see the forest for the tree. I can only see the trunk of the tree. Then when I look up I forget the trunk and see the leaves. Should I try to look at a particular leaf I will see it as I imagine it. I will not see it as it is. I will not see the branches. Then I may lose track of the tree for the forest. And I will not fully conceive the forest.
          Look into your bedroom. Do you see your dresser? What do you see in your dresser drawers? Strewn undergarments? Personal effects. Ah hum. Do you see the big picture? Does it all come to you at once? look at your bed Do you see me lying there anticipating the love we will make? Do you see love?
          Not only can we not see the big picture. What we do see is distorted into what we want to see. Remember we are finite beings. Your idols, your heroes, your leaders. They are all deceptions. They are what you make them in your limited deceived perception. As they are limited to theirs.
          Look in the mirror. Do you see yourself?

          I thought I was. Even at the tender age of 40 I thought I would be next to go. Why? Because I couldn't bear the pain of another loss? After all at the tender age of 40 I had lost many. The sorrow remains with me. I have lost those whom have left before their time. As much as I know. Brothers, friends, lovers, artists and strangers I had loved and respected all left before their time. It is a long list. Yours may be longer. The list can only be determined by the time spent recounting our loss.
          I recall determining within my self that I would be the next to go. And months later attending the funeral of my brother. Older but in his prime. And a year later the funeral of a younger cousin. I have lost mothers and one father before I spent 30 yrs on earth. We can expect to lose our parents. But to lose three mothers and a father in just 30 years of life aint right. It just aint right!
          Still there are those in my life whom may leave before me. People I have never met, but whom have enlightened me, comforted me, or brought joy to my life will go. Without giving me a chance to say "Thank you" or "Hello".
          My loss. Tired of losing. Such is life. Who will be the next to go?
          

You're no better.

          You're no better. Doctors have the knowledge and wherewithal to bring comfort to your ailment. Lawyers have the knowledge and wherewithal to save you from prison. If you are rich enough. Politicians will pass laws for your sake. If you lobby him/her well enough. Sad to say woman have a part in government. Let alone the right to vote. I will not tangent. Ah hmm. So I did.           If . Two letters. A word which carries the greatest connotations. And a word which denotes nothing. The word if, is full of possibilities. The word if, is empty. If, speaks to what could have been. If, reminds us of our mistakes.  If had turned the other way. If I had added onions to that recipe. If this then that.If speaks to the future. If this then that. If I work hard then I will succeed. If I buy her roses she will love me. If this then that. These are two examples of the word if. Two to describe the use of the word in the past tense and two using if in the future tense. If has no use in the present tense.  If is a word of imagination.
      

      
        

Before the unions

          As I was taught. Before the advent of unions working conditions were deplorable. Workers were forced to work in conditions in which employees health suffered. In dangerous working conditions, men were exposed to extreme temperatures, unsanitary conditions and generally unsafe work environments. They worked their lives away and were payed slave wages even by today's standards. Many men died serving their capitalist masters. I assume workers were not considered capital. Or maybe they were. Maybe they were thought of as "Money to burn". As many men did!
          Thanks to our Creator some of these men united. They wrought CHANGE. Knowing employers would "suffer" without their labor they united and began to strike. I set off suffer in quotation marks to ridicule the suffering those employers might have undergone. This is what is ridiculous about it. It would have been a suffering that the ordinary man could not understand. Could a steel pourer know what it is like to get by without a couple hundred extra gallons of heating oil? How could they heat their multimillion dollar houses? What does a worker know of a dinner without prime rib? And a maid to serve it? How can a subservient understand the boss' need for a down mattress and pillows? The niggards would be forced to sleep on cotton, spring mattresses. They may need to eat from a cut further back from the cow. And get off their lazy asses and get it themselves! Or turn their thermostats down and use a non goose down blanket.  I could go on though not as far as your imagination could take you. So, next paragraph.
          In the beginning the union was helpful in building safe working conditions. Now you are a slave to your union. Now your union leaders will suffer as much as your employers. And you are still a pawn! Stupid!
            
          

Just for Laughs

          I was watching a video on You Tube entitled Just for Laughs. These are videos in which producers, actors, camera operators and pranksters get their laughs by duping unsuspecting citizens. There is no race barrier. No respect for age. There is no status consideration of those whom these jokers prank. Even your pet is not safe from the humiliation dished out by these clowns!  I wonder what sort of mind could conceive of  these episodes?                                                                                                                                                 Their practical jokes have a wide range. An unsuspecting public fall prey to these larks. Some of what these buffoons consider funny range from the, what some may consider obscene to  toilet humor.  (And there is that). From sacrilegious (I did not need the dictionary to spell that), to bestiality.
          I subjected myself to an hour plus of these exhibitions. After doing so I have a commentary on them.

Racists

My research for this posting was easy. I typed black groups into my browser and selected form numerous  sites. This site I chose lists over forty racist black groups. I have included a few. How racist and hateful are blacks against non-blacks? www.aawc.com/Zaao.html                     

          Society of black lawyers. Does affirmative action prepare a special bar exam for racists? Oh and affirmative action is racist. NAACP. National Association for the Advancement of Colored people. Are there any red, yellow or beige colored people in the NAACP? No. Just black racist ones. 
          African reparations movement. What is right with this? It is another racist black group that hates White people. These lazy, racist, haters, want to take from the White man, whom built this country under the guise of  His indebtedness to a slave population which those lazy, hateful. racist, has no relation to other than their skin color!
          Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. A negro sorority. Racists.
          The infamous ACORN.  Infamous for the prostitution investigation by James O'keefe and Hanna Giles.
          Blacks in Government. Black Cultural Center. Black Data Processing Associates. Black Geeks Online.
           Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Divisiveness in the government brought by racist, lazy, hateful, coloreds.
          Ebony Queens Motorcycle Club. Certainly there is a male version of this racist motorcycle gang.
          Is minorities all inclusive or just individual blacks brought together to be "minorities"? Refer to my comment on the NAACP. This story was something that wasn't brought up on the national radio show that I host on Saturday nights*, because my guest was not yet familiar with the subject matter.

   Playing an audio clip of this altercation may not have had as much value as seeing the actions which the people involved chose.

The largest reason for myself as the host, for not playing the audio of this clip on the air, was having to employ someone, or myself, to have to insert all the "beeps" that would have been necessary, in order to play it.

I did not receive such a warning from YouTube, to the best of my knowledge this video is available to Minors on YouTube, unless parents have enabled internet browser content controls.

Tossing aside all stereotypical "Concrete Jungle" originated comments that would come to mind if I were still a cynical unbelieving in the inherent good of humanity self, I have pondered what about this has affected me enough on an emotional and intellectual level to "waste my time" even  writing my little editorial remarks here.

The cost of any given thing is the amount of LIFE you put into it.

 

My personal commentary on this particular incident of modern 2013 Urban Americana:

• Where is the respect for any authority?

    This is a public display of poor behavior and lack of respect for the security officer, charged with protecting and serving the premises for the shopping mall.  The guard is NOT a member of the metropolitan Atlanta police department.

  Beyond respect for the officer in authority, there is no respect for Self.

• Who was responsible for their upbringing?

    That's only something for the parents to be ashamed of on seeing this.

  It is a cause of this type of behavior, these young parents obviously were raised in an environment lacking in respect for themselves, others, and no true reverence for life, theirs or others.

• Why are they raising their children to behave in such a way?

    That's only something for the parents to be ashamed of on seeing this.

  They are allowing their children to publicly disrespect their own authority as a parent.  It begs further questioning of their environment at home.

   

• Are these conditions prevalent in every American City?

   That's only something for the resident of every city to be ashamed of on seeing this.

    This should not be happening!

• (90% +/- of America's population of 300 000 000 people lives in 50 cities.)

    This makes it seem that this would be an everyday occurrence!

• What does this say to the World about American Society?

    That's only something for every American to be ashamed of on seeing this.

  Would you want Americans visiting Your country if you see them behaving like this?!

  This gives the impression that America is an environment full of people lacking in respect for themselves, others, and no true reverence for life, theirs or others.

   It truly is a Quality of Life question.

Broken Down Truck

A FARMER STOPPED BY THE LOCAL MECHANICS SHOP TO HAVE HIS TRUCK FIXED. THEY COULDN'T DO IT WHILE HE WAITED, SO HE SAID HE DIDN'T LIVE FAR AND WOULD JUST WALK HOME......

ON THE WAY HOME HE STOPPED AT THE HARDWARE STORE AND BOUGHT A BUCKET AND A GALLON OF PAINT.  HE THEN STOPPED BY THE FEED STORE AND PICKED UP A COUPLE OF CHICKENS AND A GOOSE.  HOWEVER, STRUGGLING OUTSIDE THE STORE HE NOW HAD A PROBLEM - HOW TO CARRY HIS ENTIRE PURCHASES HOME.

WHILE HE WAS SCRATCHING HIS HEAD HE WAS APPROACHED BY A LITTLE OLD LADY WHO TOLD HIM SHE WAS LOST.  SHE ASKED, 'CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO GET TO 1603 MOCKINGBIRD LANE ?' THE FARMER SAID, 'WELL, AS A MATTER OF FACT, MY FARM IS VERY CLOSE TO THAT HOUSE I WOULD WALK YOU THERE BUT I CAN'T CARRY THIS LOT.' THE OLD LADY SUGGESTED, 'WHY DON'T YOU PUT THE CAN OF PAINT IN THE BUCKET.  CARRY THE BUCKET IN ONE HAND, PUT A CHICKEN UNDER EACH ARM AND CARRY THE GOOSE IN YOUR OTHER HAND?' 'WHY THANK YOU VERY MUCH,' HE SAID AND PROCEEDED TO WALK THE OLD GIRL HOME.

ON THE WAY HE SAYS 'LET'S TAKE MY SHORT CUT AND GO DOWN THIS ALLEY. WE'LL BE THERE IN NO TIME.' THE LITTLE OLD LADY LOOKED HIM OVER CAUTIOUSLY THEN SAID, 'I AM A LONELY WIDOW WITHOUT A HUSBAND TO DEFEND ME..  HOW DO I KNOW THAT WHEN WE GET IN THE ALLEY YOU WON'T HOLD ME UP AGAINST THE WALL, PULL UP MY SKIRT, AND HAVE YOUR WAY WITH ME?'

THE FARMER SAID, 'HOLY SMOKES LADY!  I'M CARRYING A BUCKET, A GALLON OF PAINT, TWO CHICKENS, AND A GOOSE.  HOW IN THE WORLD COULD I POSSIBLY HOLD YOU UP AGAINST THE WALL AND DO THAT?' THE OLD LADY REPLIED, 'SET THE GOOSE DOWN, COVER HIM WITH THE BUCKET, PUT THE PAINT ON TOP OF THE BUCKET, AND I'LL HOLD THE CHICKENS.'
